Christophe Malet is Senior Vice President Upstream LNG at Hanas, a Chinese independent energy company operating power generation (Wind and Gas), city gas distribution and LNG production and distribution in China. He’s also Managing Director of Hanas LNG Pte. Ltd., Hanas’ Singapore-based LNG procurement and business development entity. He joined Hanas in 2015 to support the development of Hanas’ LNG receiving terminal project in Putian, Fujian province, and lead the associated LNG procurement activities. Construction of the terminal started in 2023 and start-up is planned in 2027.

Christophe most recently focused on the development of LNG and gas downstream demand in developing markets, primarily end-to-end small-scale supply projects, including downstream distribution.

Christophe’s experience in the LNG Industry over the last 19 years with Hanas, Yamal LNG, Excelerate Energy and Shell covers short-term trading, long-term LNG marketing and LNG business development. Prior to his LNG experience, Christophe held various commercial and logistics roles in Shell’s Aviation and Bitumen businesses in Europe.

With an engineering degree and a MBA as academic background, he has over 25 years of commercial experience.
